1. Chez Delmo
376 reviews
Seafood | Old Montreal, Montreal

Chez Delmo is an attractive and comfortable restaurant. The menu offers a good variety of choices, and the food was excellent. Starters of crab and oysters were perfectly fresh, and grilled lobsters were very tasty. The Sancerre, had by the glass, was particularly good. Service was attentive and friendly without being overly so. More

Great, as always! Enjoyed the herb salad with anchovied goat cheese, soft (quail?) eggs, and ramp vinaigrette; the sauteed morels with chicken jus and fresh cream (heaven!); the sauteed foie gras with brioche and grapes. Dessert was the chocolate coulant with vanilla ice cream. Service was attentive and excellent. Can't wait to go back. More

4. Restaurant Toque!
1432 reviews
French / Canadian | Old Montreal, Montreal

We've dined at many a fine restaurant around the world — Sierra Mar @ Post Ranch, Aramburu in Buenos Aires — and a number of good restaurants in Montreal. Toqué ranks right up there as one of the best meals of our lives. The food, the service, the sommelier, the ambiance — everything was perfect. Yes, it is expensive, but perfect comes at a cost and it was worth it. More

1. Le Club Chasse et Peche
407 reviews
French | Old Montreal, Montreal

Visited Montreal for our anniversary and researched restaurants using TripAdvisor and Yelp. Made reservations in advance for this restaurant based on reviews and we were thoroughly pleased with the experience. Very busy on a Saturday evening but we were sat on time with our choice of two nice tables. The server was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. As with many top restaurants the menu was somewhat limited with 8+/- primary entree options, however, there was something for almost everyone. We were not extremely hungry that evening and so we split the Scallops to start. We are from Maine and have eaten at many good seafood restaurants in both Maine and Boston, however, we both agreed these were the best Scallops we have ever had. My wife ordered the Venison Two Ways and I had the Duck Magret. Both were exceptionally well prepared and delicious. We finished with the Caramel and Milk Chocolate Tart which was perfect as well. Overall, there was nothing we did not enjoy about this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fine dining experience. More

We went there for the pre-fixe lunch as a birthday treat. We brought our (happily sleeping!) toddler. Everyone was very accommodating - the food was stellar. I'm still raving about how good it was a week later. If you are bringing a child, make sure that you only do the lunch seating, and that they're somewhat older as they need to have an appreciation for food. No picky eaters or chicken fingers here! 3. Les Deux Singes de Montarvie
355 reviews
International | Mile End, Montreal

Dining at Les Deux Singes de Montarvie was the highlight of a week in Montreal that included many of the top rated restaurants in the city. Each dish was well composed both visually and to the palate, and my wife and I grinned compulsively as we sample each course in turn. Top marks all around. More

decided to expand his business next door: the pizzeria now had a
dining room. Evolving in the tasteful world of Italian cuisine, Franco Di
Menna kept trying new recipes and creating delicious meals. In 1988,
the restaurant went under major renovations to match its high quality
menu. Already mixing fine dining and takeout, Restaurant Di Menna
